In this quick tutorial, I will show you how to solve the trim is blocked on video 1 (or audio 1) problem inside Adobe Premiere Pro.
So apparently, if you are trying to ripple edit your audio clip, a message will appear that tells you “trim block on video 1” (it might be video 2 or 3 and so on).
Trim Blocked Solution
To fix this problem, all you need to do is click on the “toggle sync lock” button or the “toggle track lock” button next to the video track.
However, the downside of this method is that you need to lock every single track to make the ripple edit tool work and that might be a daunting task especially if got multiple video tracks.
But don’t worry, if you want to lock all the video tracks at the same time just press SHIFT and click on the track lock button.
The same method works for users who got the “trim block on audio 1” message, you just have to lock or toggle sync lock all the audio tracks. And voila!
